Derek Pead

During an actuarial and insurance career spanning more than 40 years, Derek has held several senior executive and non-executive directorships, including Metropolitan Holdings, joint managing director of Metropolitan Life and several other board positions within the Metropolitan group and beyond.

Derek studied negotiation in depth, including two separate programmes at Harvard Law School and is also a workplace and commercial mediator, accredited by CEDR (the Centre for Dispute Resolution) in the U.K.

Derek is a master negotiator, not only due to his vast corporate experience and his advanced studies, but because of his consultative nature, he has the ability to ask the tough questions in such a way that people truly believe that he cares…because he does!
